CARLINGTON COMMUNITY & HEALTH SERVICES

back to projects

We helped Carlington Community & Health Services to renovate the former T. P. Maxwell Public School into a 20,000 square foot community health and services facility. The playful design by Architects Frank Fentiman an Jim Edwards featured a "main street" where the old school gym used to be, complete with "storefront" services and even a bridge! The $3.45 million project received a 1995 City of Ottawa Certificate of Merit for adaptive re-use of an existing building in a manner which enhances the neighbourhood.
